All Women’s Kiteboarding weekend

July 13th-14th, 2024

Do you want to feel more confident on the river?

Join us on our home turf in Hood River, OR for a weekend of kiteboarding. This women's kiteboarding weekend can be anything you want it to be... From working on advanced unhooked tricks to working on building your community of female kiteboarders.

We're bringing a small group of women together for a weekend that will help you build a solid foundation to feel confident to go out in any conditions, give you off-the-water tips and tricks and help you take your kiteboarding to the next level.

We believe that women are fantastic at supporting and inspiring one another and we want to foster that. We believe in adventuring, learning and kiting our butts off. We believe in empowering you in your kiteboarding, getting over hurdles, and increasing your confidence both on and off the water.

The Kiteboarding

Hood River & the greater Columbia Gorge is the epicenter for kiteboarding in the PNW. It’s windy almost every day in the Summer and conditions range from steady 20’s to strong and gusty. This will be an empowering group setting for women to learn intermediate to advanced skills. Included are 2 days of professional instruction from two professional kiteboarders. All riders must be self-sufficient kiteboarders, able to ride both directions confidently, stay upwind, and self-rescue. The specific location is subject to change depending on conditions.

Example goals: First jumps, riding toe-side, upwind progression, backrolls, unhooked tricks, getting comfortable on your surfboard, learning to ride a foil board, jumping higher!

Schedule:

Mornings start out bright and early with Yoga at 9:00am.

Morning kite session 10:30-1:00pm

Lunch 1:00-2:00pm

Afternoon kite session 2:00-5:30pm

I attended Sensi & Colleen’s first kite clinic in El Cuyo. What an epic fun week I had riding with these two inspiring pro kiteboarders and other amazing women from all over the world! I was very impressed by how well the ladies organized the event. From the travel logistics, accommodation, food, morning yoga, daily kite chats/instructions, time on the water, and exploring the surrounding areas they really did think of everything! Colleen and Sensi both took time to understand each of our goals and offered tips on and off the water that helped each of us progress. I hope I get to ride with these talented ladies again and definitely recommend all kite girls attend their retreat if you get the chance!
